Where does “Torhees” come from? A proper noun created by the Jay Beerman. Torhees is slang for the couple to be consisting of TOR Ryan Holtan (yes, the groom has a viking first name) and Stephanie Elise VorHEES.
What will the weather be like? Now that we’re in August, it can get hot but usually is really nice! Typically, it’s in the low to mid 80’s during the day. Note that it STILL can get chilly at night, dipping down to the 50’s. A wrap (or suit jacket) is highly encouraged. Your best bet is to check the weather the week of and plan accordingly.
Are children invited to the hosted events? Sadly no :( but feel free to bring them and their floaties to the pool party.
Are there babysitting services available? The Fairmont does not provide services but they (and our wedding planners) recommend the following services: All About Kids, Nanny on Call, Joanna’s Nannies, Capitol Child Care LLC, Care.com, Merry Pop-In Nannies
What timezone is the schedule in? PST! For those visiting from east of California, make sure to turn those watches back.
Will there be non-alcoholic beverages? Absolutely!
If I don’t eat gluten (or have other food allergies), will there be options for me? Absolutely, it’s California! Please just let us know ahead of time.
Will there be parking? Yes, it’s available at all hosted events should you want to drive.
What’s the dress code for each event? Please see the Schedule of Events.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear? @Ladies, there is grass at both our welcome dinner & wedding venue. You do you, but please keep that in mind when picking out your shoes (maybe skip the white silks?).
Can I take pictures? Yes, but please don’t during the ceremony.
